I prefer not to put myself into a pigeon-hole as far as photography is concerned. To me
photography is art, and a camera allows me to capture and portray images in my own style (oh
yeah? what style?). I look for stuff to capture on film. I see things and want to record them and show
them. I take photographs !! And I am as passionate about it now as I was when I was 15 years old
(and that was way back in the last millennium!).
If I have to put a label on my commercial work then I can do so in just a few broad categories. I have
visited 55 counties or so in my life-time, and have lived in 15 countries on 4 continents, so I tend to
capture travel images, and some of this tends to become typically "stock" shots of various locations.
Some images are more definitely "nature" related as I feel that the purpose of travel is to view the
variety of nature on our planet.
And, of course, one cannot travel without experiencing the incredible variety of food and drink and
the cultures that exist in exotic and less exotic places.
So, in summary, much of my work is:
- Travel (Places, people, culture, panoramas, architecture etc)
- Nature
- Food and Drink - with specialisation in Tropical Fruits and tropical fruit products
I am also able to produce short video footage.
In the last couple of years I have done some fashion work, portraiture and, with some reluctance, I
can document (with spectacular skill) weddings!
I can be booked for assignments at any time - though 3 months notice is less stressful all round!
